Common questions

Do you run payroll or file my taxes?

Your payroll provider runs payroll and your CPA files your income taxes. I record the payroll entries from your provider’s reports and hand your CPA a clean, organized year-end package. Sales and use tax filings are available as an add-on.

How does your pricing compare?

Most small contractors pay $300 to $900 a month for outsourced bookkeeping, so $500 lands right in the middle, with a construction specialist doing the work. Here’s a full breakdown of what bookkeeping costs for contractors.

Do I need QuickBooks Online?

Yes, I work in QuickBooks Online. If you’re not on it yet, I’ll help you get set up during onboarding.

What other software do you work with?

JobTread, Buildertrend, Ramp, Bill.com, Bill Spend & Expense, BambooHR, Gusto, and more. See the tools I recommend and how they all connect to QuickBooks.

What if my books are way behind?

No judgment. Start with the free health check and I’ll quote the catch-up work so you know exactly what it takes to get current.

Do I have to be local?

Nope. I’m based in Utah and work remotely with contractors nationwide.
